In 2021, Amber was diagnosed with breast cancer after which, Robin stepped away from Good Morning America in February 2022, so that she could care for Amber. Rewind 14 years prior, Robin had been diagnosed with cancer in 2007, and Laign did the same for Robin by quitting her job in the fashion industry to be there for her.
