Karima Jackson, the daughter of the American rapper O’Shea Jackson Sr. (also known as Ice Cube), is an American philanthropist.
Hailing from Los Angeles, California, she celebrates her birthday on February 17th.
While not as famous as some of her family members in the entertainment industry, Karima has carved her own identity as a charity worker and research scholar.
She holds two master’s degrees from different universities and is presently pursuing her PhD at Rutgers University SPAA.
Prior to her academic pursuits, Karima served as a family service specialist in the State of New Jersey for several years.
She utilized her skills and volunteering experience to establish her own philanthropic center, ‘Organize Change, Inc.’
However, Karima’s life hasn’t always been without challenges.
In 2016, one of her charity campaigns led to a physical altercation between her boyfriend and a cemetery official, making headlines.
Local police intervention resolved the matter, but it caused significant trauma in Karima’s life and delayed her campaign.
Childhood & Early Life
Karima Jackson was born in Los Angeles, California, on February 17, 1994, to the American rapper, writer, and actor O’Shea Jackson Sr. and his wife, Kimberly Woodruff.
She is the younger sister of rappers O’Shea Jackson Jr. and Darrell Jackson, as well as having a younger brother named Shareef and a younger sister called Deja.
After completing her bachelor’s degree in sociology at Rutgers University-New Brunswick.
Karima pursued a master’s degree in child advocacy, focusing on public child welfare, at Montclair State University.
She also obtained another master’s degree in public administration from Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey-Newark, where she was a member of ‘Pi Alpha Alpha’.
Presently, Karima serves as a research fellow at the Rutgers School of Public Affairs and Administration.
