Hayward Peele was born on April 23, 1949, in New York, New York United States to his parents Hayward Peele and Lucy May (Doggert) Peele. Hayword was originally from North Carolina. Unfortunately, Hayward Peele passed away at age 51 on November 2, 2000, in New York. The cause of his death was not made available to the public.

Hayward gained much of his fame from being the father of Jordan Peele. He had his son with Lucinda (Williams) Peele. According to the actor and director, he last saw his father when he was seven years old and was raised by his single mother on Manhattan’s Upper West Side.

Despite Hayward Peele’s absences, his son still has good memories of the brief time they spent together. Jordan’s mother, Lucinda Williams, also told The New York Times Magazine in 2017 that she tried to keep father and son connected. She played jazz for Jordan and made Hayward’s favorite meals. She only intervened when he asked Jordan why he ‘talked white.’ I knew I couldn’t allow that,” she told the Times.

Jordan Peele began dating fellow comedian Chelsea Peretti in 2013. The couple became engaged in November 2015, and Peretti announced in April 2016 that she and Peele had eloped. They have a son named Beaumont (born July 1, 2017). Jordan has had a net worth of $50 million as of 2023.
