Kevin Forrest Cash was born in Tampa, Florida, on December 6, 1977.

Playing career

Kevin had quite a long playing career that spanned more than s decade.

Kevin Cash began his professional baseball career with the Hagerstown Suns, a Blue Jays Class A farm team, in 2000. In 2002, he was promoted to Triple-A.

Cash made his MLB debut in 2002, participating in seven games for the Toronto Blue Jays.

From 2002 through 2004, he played in 101 games for the Blue Jays, mostly as a backup catcher and defensive substitute, batting.173 with five home runs and 29 RBIs.

After the 2004 season, Cash was traded to the Tampa Bay Devil Rays for pitcher Chad Gaudin.

Cash batted.161 with two home runs and two RBIs in 13 games with the Devil Rays in 2005.

Cash was designated for assignment by the Tampa Bay Rays on April 5, 2006, and after clearing waivers, he reported to the Triple-A Durham Bulls, where he spent the whole 2006 season playing in 78 games.

He became a free agent after the season.
