At the time they got married, Woody was in his 60s while Soon-Yi was in her 20s. Previously, Woody Allen was in a relationship with actress Mia Farrow, Soon-Yi Previn’s adopted mother.

Soon-Yi Previn had been abandoned and was adopted by Mia Farrow and her ex-husband André Previn. Soon-Yi Previn and Woody Allen made it known that they started dating after Woody ended his relationship with Mia Farrow. In January 1992, Mia found Soon-Yi’s nude pictures in Woody’s home.
