Myles’ father, Marlon Brando, was well-known for his chaotic personal life and several girlfriends and children. At least 11 children were born to him, three of them were adopted.

Songs My Mother Taught Me is his autobiography. Myles Jonathan Brando’s father said that he met Marilyn Monroe at a party when she was playing the piano unobserved by the other guests, that they had an affair and had an intermittent relationship for many years, and that he received a phone call from her just days before she died. He also claimed a slew of other relationships, yet his memoirs made no mention of his weddings, wives, or children.

Christian Brando, Myles Jonathan Brando’s step-brother, fatally shot Dag Drollet, Cheyenne’s half-boyfriend, sister’s at his father’s home on Mulholland Drive in the Hollywood Hills on May 16, 1990. That year, the family turmoil and trial received a lot of attention. In 1991, he pled guilty to manslaughter and received a prison sentence.

In 1996, his brother was released. Christian’s friendship with Bonnie Lee Bakley and his suspected role in her death were revealed in 2004 during the prosecution of Robert Blake for the 2001 murder of his wife, Bonnie Lee Bakley. Christian was sentenced to probation after pleading no contest to spousal abuse of his then-wife Deborah in 2005. On January 26, 2008, he died of pneumonia at the age of 49.

Myles Brando’s father, Marlon was known as a “bad boy” for his public outbursts and antics. “Brando was rock and roll before anybody understood what rock and roll was,” according to Los Angeles magazine. His actions during the making of Mutiny on the Bounty (1962) seemed to reinforce his reputation as a demanding star. He was accused for a change of director and an out-of-control budget, though he denied culpability for both.

Marlon fractured paparazzo Ron Galella’s jaw on June 12, 1973. Galella had followed Brando after a taping of The Dick Cavett Show in New York City, where he was accompanied by talk show host Dick Cavett. He paid a $40,000 out-of-court settlement and as a result developed an infected hand.

Myles Jonathan Brando’s father, died of respiratory failure from pulmonary fibrosis with congestive heart failure on July 1, 2004 at UCLA Medical Center. His counsel first withheld the cause of death, claiming privacy concerns. In addition, he had diabetes and liver cancer.

Shortly before his death, despite the fact that he needed an oxygen mask to breathe, he recorded his voice to reprise his role as Don Vito Corleone in The Godfather: The Game. However, due to his health, Marlon only recorded one line, and an imposter was recruited to finish his lines.
