Rosie Perez is an American actress, choreographer, voiceover artist, and community activist who rose to prominence with her theatrical film debut as Tina in the 1989 comedy-drama film, Do the Right Thing.   • Perez is known to have a troubled childhood due to physical, mental, and sexual abuse.
  • Rosie’s parents were in relationships with other people, before meeting each other and welcoming Perez into this world. Their troubled alliance and an array of children, made her paternal aunt take care of Rosie in her initial years.
