Tom Pelphrey is an American actor who is widely recognized for having portrayed the lead roles in several TV shows including those of Jonathan Randall and Mick Dante in the CBS series Guiding Light (2004–2009) and As the World Turns (2009–2010) respectively. He has also starred in various films such as Tiger Lily Road (2013).   • He had originally thought of being on the school’s football team.
  • Tom was introduced to acting during his freshman year of high school. He got injured within the first few weeks of the season when a teacher, Steve Kazakoff started encouraging him to audition for the school’s performing arts center. He got motivated and was accepted after which he developed a close bond with Steve and went on to credit him with helping him develop his affinity for the arts.
  • He has recalled that he got to work at Pittsburgh once during the baseball season and had the most wonderful time there. He would walk down across the river, be at the park, and get a seat right off third base. He would get mesmerized watching the sun set right on the river, while the game was being played.
  • Pelphrey has stated Austin to have been one of the coolest cities he has visited. He has liked it being a tech boom with new houses. He has relished going to Barton Springs and has found the heart of the place to be that of old hippies.
